About Sariska Tiger Reserve
Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1979, Sariska covers an area of approximately 800 sq. km and is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Apart from the elusive Bengal tiger, the reserve shelters leopards, striped hyenas, jungle cats, sambars, chitals, nilgai, and wild boars.
Bird lovers can spot species such as peafowl, bush quail, sand grouse, gray partridge, golden-backed woodpecker, crested serpent eagle, and the Great Indian horned owl. The reserve also houses historical landmarks like Kankawadi Fort and Kalighati, adding cultural depth to the wildlife experience.
