Prayagraj Kumbh Mela :

Since 2025 was the 12-year Maha Kumbh, 2026 returns to the annual Magh Mela cycle. While smaller in scale than the Maha Kumbh, it is still a massive spiritual event that many call the "Mini Kumbh."

  • Dates: January 3 – February 15, 2026.

  • Location: Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj.

  • Current Status: The mela has already begun. Millions have taken the first dip on Paush Purnima (Jan 3).

  • Jan 18: Mauni Amavasya (The most auspicious day of the month)

Day 1

Arrival in Prayagraj

• Pick-up from Prayagraj Airport/Railway Station

Holy Dip + Kumbh Exploration

1. How to reach the location?  

We can take a flight to Delhi Airport and from there many trains are available for Allahabad. For bookings we can check at Allahabad Kumbh Mela Tour Packages With Varanasi.  Many special trains are arranged by the Indian railways for the Allahabad Kumbh from different corner of the countries. Special flights are also organized for Varanasi location from there we can reach Allahabad taking a drive.

This year 2019 the mela starts from 15th January and last till 4th march.

Any day can be planned as per the availability of flight and railways but some special days there will be more crowded due to special bath taken by the Sadhus of different Akhadas. One can witness and photograph this event as well. The sadhus with different attires and their groups are worth watching. The special bath will be taken on these three auspicious days so one can plan according to it.

The government has prepared for sanitation and clean water supply at the location. Also measures are taken for proper dumping of garbage and solid waste management, so that the river doesn’t get polluted. Approximately 2 lakh toilets are built keeping in account of the gathering of people. Camps are made to stay with food supply and medical facilities.  Beautification of the road is done with more widening and more clean over-bridges are made for the tourists.

There are expert medical teams at different points of the journey to ensure ideal health and wellbeing of the tourist of all ages. They are posted even at the Allahabad station and the mela premises for seeking any medical help.
