Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved Queen Mumtaj Mahal. The glorious Taj Mahal, a memorial of love and ingenious architecture is almost a synonym of Indian architecture to the world.
White marble Quarried from Makrana, 325 km from Agra has stood the test of time and immortalized Shah Jahan’s faith love for his special Queen. The gardens which adorn Taj Mahal have a water fountain system which still works on its ancient engineering! The garden layout on the classic Charminar style depicting paradise is a unique blend of fourteen hundred years old Islamic beliefs and civil engineering skills which have crossed a tri – centurion lifespan. A world reckoned wonder, Taj Mahal sits pretty on the northern side of a green paradise. The architectural technique makes it look much smaller than it is. And then as you move towards it. It seems to grow… until you reach the base of the magnificent structure. It seems to live and breathe! Optical tricks woven wondrously in marble are the hallmark of Taj Mahal. It looks the same from all four sides! The Quranic inscriptions on its four entrances are carved in such subtle increase in size that they appear to be of the same size from top to bottom! Shah Jahan invited master craftsmen from as far as Itlay and Persia to help design this ambitions tribute.
The Indian Monsoons and spring add natural décor to the crown of mausoleums. Winter being a natural beckoner for the local visitor to picnic in its sprawling greens, the Taj is a true side in all seasons! The marble heats in the summer sun, adding wipes to a steamy mirage. The white-hot sun bathes the Taj in a sharp glare. Respite is found in its shadowy zones. When night sets in, the moonlit sky takes over from the sun and bathes the Taj in a cascading glow. Picture perfect from across the river.! The Taj has enticed many a photographer.
