At the eastern end of the Lodi road, Safdarjang’s Tomb, open from sunrise to sunset is relatively little visited. The Nawab of Awadh built the Tomb for his father, beside the small Safdarjang airfield. The tomb stands on a high terrace surrounded by an extensive walled garden. It makes a pleasant retreat from the urban bustle. It is a short walk from Lodhi Garden.
