Situated to the west of Connaught placed, this modern temple was erected by the Birla industrial house in 1938. It’s dedicated to Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity and fortune. It is commonly known as Birla Mandir. The design is in the Orissan style with all curved towers (Sikhara) capped by large the temple is flanked by a Dharamshala (rest house) and Buddhist Vihara (monastery). It is a great place for kids of any age with man-made caves and creatures in large gardens
